This is a quaint hotel. The bathrooms are brand new, but the rest of the hotel has an English feel that welcomes you. The elevators are very small, but we never had any problems using them. There is a wonderful bar and an excellent restaurant. The staff could not be nicer. We had a dedicated doorman who helped me in and out of taxis. We loved every minute of our stay and would highly recommend it.

The hotel provided tea milk and hot chocolate but no coffee. Treats were also complimentary.
Room and hotel was always tidy and clean.
Within the financial district we only had the london tower and the tower bridge nearby so we had to take the underground to most places for sightseeing.
It’s 4 minutes walk to the underground tower station.
After dark the walk from the tower station or park station can be dark on some streets. Not dangerous just our daughter felt uncomfortable a few times.

Absolutely love this hotel. It is the first time I stay at an Andaz hotel and will now try it elsewhere.
The design is fun and modern. There are numerous restaurants onsite and a 24hr gym.
The location is perfectly situated right next to liverpool station and you have numerous cafes, a tesco, a boots across the street.
Above all else though, the staff is the heart of the hotel.

The hotel has been nicely renovated and the rooms while small, are well furnished and modern. The staff are all very nice. The area is safe and there are plenty of good places to eat and is very walkable and easy to get anywhere in London from. For the price, it’s a great deal. My usual place is just a few blocks away but was full. It has more by way of amenities (gym, pool, sauna) but would have been 800 dollars more had I stayed there. I would stay here again

Wonderful hotel in a convenient location in London but not in the hustle and bustle. We walked to everything but the Tower. Tube station very close. Concierges were outstanding. We had a problem with our room and they went above and beyond to resolve it. If we go back to London, we will stay here.

Wonderful hotel and staff; what you would expect for the $$$$! Only drawback I experienced was the room was too masculine with little regard for a female's hair and make up needs for a mirror, lighting and plug in the same location. Additionally only seating for 1 in the room; had to ask for another chair to create a sitting area. Staff extremely responsive. EasyTrip VIP free breakfast was truly a bonus!

Where to stay in London for last-minute hotels
When booking a last-minute hotel in London, consider staying in the city center for easy access to major attractions, restaurants, shopping, and public transportation. Popular tourist areas are ideal for sightseeing and offer a wide range of accommodation options, while business districts can provide excellent value, particularly on weekends. Hotels near airports, train stations, and other transportation hubs are convenient for short stays and flexible travel plans. If you’re seeking scenic surroundings, look for accommodations near natural attractions. For a more local experience, explore residential neighborhoods where you can discover authentic dining and culture. Choosing the right area can help you make the most of your stay in London, even when booking at the last minute.
What amenities to expect in last-minute hotels in London
When booking a last-minute hotel in London, the most valuable amenities are those that offer convenience, flexibility, and comfort for spontaneous travelers, business travelers, and guests on short trips. Look for properties with flexible cancellation policies, allowing you to adjust plans if necessary. Many hotels offer a choice between budget rooms with essentials like free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and daily housekeeping, and premium options that include more spacious rooms, complimentary breakfast, fitness centers, pools, parking, airport shuttles, or concierge services for a more comfortable stay. Business travelers may also appreciate amenities like workspaces, meeting facilities, and convenient transportation access, while leisure travelers often value on-site dining, pet-friendly rooms, and 24-hour front desk service.
Best hotel types for last-minute stays in London
The best last-minute hotels in London are often business hotels and city center properties, which frequently have availability and offer excellent value. Business hotels are a great option for short trips and work travel, while city hotels are placed close to major attractions, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment, making them ideal for maximizing time. Last-minute travelers can also benefit from hotels looking to fill unsold inventory, which may result in discounted rates on remaining rooms. Whether you’re planning a spontaneous getaway, a quick overnight stay, or a business trip, comparing different hotel types can help you find comfortable accommodations, convenient locations, and great last-minute deals in London.
Best time to go for a last-minute trip to London
The best time for a last-minute trip to London is often during shoulder seasons, midweek, and periods outside major holidays and events, when hotel availability tends to be higher and rates more competitive. In general, the best last-minute hotel deals are often found within a few days of arrival. Flexible travelers who can adjust their dates and hotel preferences are usually most likely to find the best combination of value, availability, and convenience.
Tips to save on last-minute hotels in London
Use same-day and short-notice deals to your advantage. Checking rates within 24–48 hours of check-in can reveal discounts as hotels try to fill remaining rooms. Prices can change quickly, so revisiting listings or booking when you see a good fit can help secure better value.
Be flexible with location and room type. Expanding your search beyond the most central or high-demand areas in London, and considering standard rooms instead of premium options, can often unlock better last-minute prices without losing comfort or convenience.
Compare options and watch for shifting prices. Last-minute availability in London can fluctuate due to cancellations and occupancy levels. Comparing multiple hotels on EasyTrip helps you spot reduced rates and better overall deals.
Look beyond the base price for added value. Perks like free cancellation, Wi-Fi, breakfast, or member pricing can make a big difference in total value. Members of EasyTrip’s free travel rewards program can unlock instant savings when signed in, which can help to reduce costs even on spontaneous stays.
