This is by far the most spacious and clean hotel room I have ever stayed in. Very comfortable and welcoming. The staff was fabulous. The pool area was very nice we really enjoyed the heated salt water pool. Der Dutchman restaurant was conveniently located (a 1-2 minute walk) and had delicious food. We will definitely stay here again! 😊

This is a very nice resort! Everyone is friendly and professional. The restaurant serves some of the best food and cocktails that I’ve ever had. I was impressed by the size of the room, it has a walk in closet, washing machine, living room and a kitchen. This made our trip to Disney a very relaxing experience. Keep up the great work!

The hotel is beautifully decorated. Its very clean from the lobby to the room. The room was spotless, the beds were comfortable and they supply shampoo, conditioner and body wash in their bathrooms. The breakfast was very good. They offer hot food i.e. eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast or pancakes. They also have cereals, oatmeal, fruits and yogurt. The pool was another wonderful feature, clean and heated with plenty of chairs and tables. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. There are...

Room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. It was close to good restaurants and grocery store. The kids enjoyed the pool. The beach was right outside our room. It was not crowded and no cars can drive on that stretch of beach which is hard to come by. The area is quiet and not touristy like Daytona.

The cleanliness of the property, the rooms are cleaned daily. Whet I didn’t like was an extra charge of $175 after I have paid for my 7days stay and upon checking in I was told a service fee of $175 for the 7days I’m staying which I wasn’t informed about when I booked my stay.

Ideally located right next to the airport, the place is run very efficiently, it's clean and tight, the amenities are nice for what you need on an overnight stay or a business travel. Highly recommend this accommodation if you're in Sarasota for a short stay.

The beginning of a great stay started with Carmen at the front desk. We felt welcomed, informed and appreciated. I read reviews about the hot water, but we had no problem; the shower was great with adequate hot water. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily. The mattresses isn’t plush but I slept well. The shuttle to City Walk and Universal Studios theme parks and early entry into parks was a plus. The restaurant and Starbucks on property were convenient. The property is in a great location and...

Weekend getaways in Florida are a popular short-break option for couples, solo travelers, and groups of friends looking to relax, explore, or enjoy a change of scenery without extensive planning. Couples can enjoy relaxed experiences such as dining, scenic walks, or cultural activities, while solo travelers can explore flexible itineraries that balance sightseeing and downtime. If its a group trip, explore social, entertainment-focused experiences that fit into a short trip. Weekend travel generally peaks on Friday and Saturday nights, with a slightly quieter pace on Sundays, making it an ideal window for quick, refreshing breaks.
Reasons to book a Weekend Getaway in Florida
Weekend getaways in Florida are a popular short-break option that offer a simple way to recharge, break from routine, and make the most of limited time, providing the chance to experience a new place without needing extended time off work or other commitments.
Where to stay in Florida
For a 2–3 day stay in Florida, the best areas are usually those that keep you close to key attractions and transport links so you can make the most of a short visit. Central neighborhoods are ideal for easy access to landmarks, dining, and nightlife, while waterfront or scenic districts offer a more relaxed break with memorable views. Well-connected areas near major train stations or airports are also practical choices, making it simple to move around efficiently without wasting time on travel.
Different neighborhoods can also suit different travel styles. Central and entertainment-focused areas often work well for couples looking for a mix of dining and a lively center, while solo travelers may prefer well-connected districts that offer convenience and flexibility. Group travelers often benefit from busy areas with plenty of entertainment, shared activities, and larger hotel options. Choosing the right neighborhood in Florida helps balance convenience, comfort, and experience for a well-rounded short stay.
Top amenities for a weekend stay in Florida
When choosing a weekend stay in Florida on EasyTrip, look for essentials like fast Wi-Fi, flexible check-in and check-out, and easy transport access to help you make the most of a short trip, along with comfortable bedding, climate control, and quiet rooms for proper rest between plans. Added conveniences such as on-site dining, breakfast options, and 24-hour reception can streamline your stay, while features like gyms, spas, or pools add extra value for a more relaxing break. Flexible cancellation is also helpful for keeping your weekend plans stress-free and adaptable, making it easier to enjoy a smooth, well-paced stay in Florida.
Best hotel types for Weekend Getaways in Florida
Central hotels and boutique hotels are popular choices for weekend getaways in Florida, offering easy access to attractions, dining, and local experiences. City hotels in well-connected areas are ideal for convenience, with transport links that make it easy to get around. For a more relaxed pace, residential or quieter neighborhoods provide a calmer stay while still keeping the city within easy reach. Full-service hotels are also a strong option for groups, with flexible room setups and amenities that support shared, short stays.
Best time to go for a Weekend Getaway in Florida
The best time for a weekend getaway in Florida is usually during shoulder seasons, when weather conditions are pleasant and areas are less filled with tourists, creating a more relaxed travel experience. Weekends outside major holidays and local events also tend to offer a better balance of availability and comfort, making it easier to enjoy the destination at a comfortable pace.
In terms of booking, confirming a stay a few weeks in advance often provides the best choice of hotels and locations, while more flexible travelers may still find good options closer to the weekend during quieter periods. Friday and Saturday nights are typically the most popular, so planning around slightly less busy weekends or adding a Sunday night can sometimes improve both value and availability.
Tips to save on a weekend getaway in Florida
Travel during quieter weekends Choosing weekends outside major holidays, events, or peak travel periods in Florida can often lead to better rates and more availability across a wider range of hotels.
Stay slightly outside the main areas Hotels in well-connected but less central neighborhoods are often more affordable, while still keeping attractions and dining within easy reach.
Be flexible with hotel type and room choice Opting for standard rooms or business and city hotels instead of premium or boutique stays can help reduce costs without sacrificing comfort.
Compare package deals for better value Weekend getaway packages that bundle hotel stays with flights can often provide better overall value than booking each element separately.
